These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Alios (the "Service"), operated by Alias Project, Inc. ("Alias Project," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on that organization's behalf, and "you" refers to that organization.
If you don't agree to these Terms, don't use the Service.
Alios is a cloud infrastructure management platform. Depending on how you use it, the Service may:
Because the Service is granted meaningful access to infrastructure you control — cloud provider accounts, source code repositories, and the servers themselves — you should only connect accounts and grant permissions you're comfortable with Alios exercising on your behalf, scoped as narrowly as the connected provider allows.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, including actions taken by other members of a team you belong to.
Team owners can invite other users to a team and control what those users can do within it. If you're a team owner, you're responsible for managing who has access to your team and to the infrastructure connected to it.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
You're responsible for the servers, sites, and cloud provider accounts you connect to Alios, and for complying with the terms of service of any third-party provider you connect (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, GitHub, and any others). Alios is a tool for managing that infrastructure — it doesn't take on your obligations to those providers, or to anyone whose data lives on servers you manage through the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the Service or other customers.
Some features require a paid subscription, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the plan you select, plus applicable taxes.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
We may change subscription pricing or plans. If a change affects your existing subscription, we'll give you reasonable notice before it takes effect.
When you connect a cloud provider, source control provider, or custom server to Alios:
Alios's own monitoring features work by periodically checking servers and sites you've configured — for example, requesting a URL to check uptime, or checking a certificate's expiration. We do our best to make these checks accurate and timely, but monitoring results are informational: they're not a guarantee of your infrastructure's actual state, and you shouldn't rely on Alios as your only method of detecting a serious outage.
We aim to keep the Service itself available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, and infrastructure providers, network conditions, or events outside our control can affect availability.
Alios and its underlying software, and the Alios name and logo, are owned by Alias Project, Inc. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. You retain all rights to your own code, configuration, and data that you deploy or manage through the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alias Project, Inc. won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service — including damages resulting from infrastructure outages, monitoring inaccuracies, or deployment failures. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably practicable.
On account deletion, we cancel any active subscription and begin deleting your account data as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your Alios account does not delete infrastructure running on your connected cloud providers — that's managed directly through those providers.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you — by email, through the Service, or both — before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Alias Project, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
